Personal Information

“Personal Information” means information relating to a living individual as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, including information that can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, or other descriptions, as well as biometric data such as facial features, fingerprints, voiceprints, and other information that can identify an individual on its own (personal identification information).

Methods of Collecting Personal Information

The Company may collect personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number when users register for the Services.
 In addition, the Company may collect transaction records and payment-related information that include personal information from partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertising distributors) with whom users conduct transactions.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Services
  • To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification)
  • To send notifications regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other services provided by the Company
  • To contact users as necessary for maintenance or important notices
  • To identify and restrict users who violate the Terms of Service or attempt to use the Services for fraudulent or improper purposes

  • To bill users for paid services

Change of Purpose of Use

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without prior user consent, except where permitted by applicable laws and regulations, including in the following cases:

  • When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and obtaining consent is difficult
  • When necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and obtaining consent is difficult
  • When cooperation with government authorities or their contractors is required by law and obtaining consent may impede such duties

Personal information may be provided without constituting third-party disclosure in the following cases:

  • When the Company entrusts the handling of personal information to contractors within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
  • When personal information is transferred due to business succession such as a merger
  • When personal information is jointly used with specific parties, provided that the relevant details are notified to users or made easily accessible

Disclosure of Personal Information

Upon request from an individual, the Company will disclose personal information without delay.
 However, all or part of the information may not be disclosed if disclosure may harm the rights or interests of the individual or a third party, significantly impede the Company’s business operations, or otherwise violate laws and regulations.
 A handling fee of JPY 1,000 per request may be charged.
 Information other than personal information, such as usage history or characteristic information, will not be disclosed in principle.

Correction and Deletion of Personal Information

Users may request correction, addition, or deletion of their personal information if it is inaccurate, in accordance with procedures prescribed by the Company.
 The Company will promptly take appropriate action and notify the user of the result.

Suspension of Use of Personal Information

If a user requests suspension or deletion of personal information on the grounds that it is being used beyond its intended purpose or was obtained improperly, the Company will investigate the request and take appropriate measures where necessary.
 If suspension or deletion is difficult due to excessive cost or other reasons, alternative measures to protect the user’s rights and interests will be implemented.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

The Company may revise this Privacy Policy without prior notice unless otherwise required by law.
 The revised Privacy Policy shall become effective when posted on this website.
